For Summer sales and reaching for the same things on repeat. If there was one season a year that I could truly live a minimalistic life - it would be Summer. Anyone else notice they are reaching for the same handful of pieces day-in, and day-out? I mean, as an expert I would say if you do - invest in those pieces because you know your cost per wear will be low.
Why do I highlight this? Because if statements like “it’s fine, it will do, or it’s okay” are ones I hear on repeat all year long - well then statements like “I’m just going to the beach, or I’m just going to be hanging out with my kids, or I don’t really get dressed up in the Summer soooo…” are the statements I hear in Summer. I get it, life is absolutely different in the Summer. The heat, the pace, the different modes compared to the rest of the year - but this is your reminder to not settle.
Ill-fitting clothing (is that still a saying? I feel like I just aged myself) in the form of quality, cut and lack of shape are often the characteristics that come along with “settling” on cheaper pieces. Just make sure you aren’t swapping feeling good in your clothes for “saving” during those Summer sales months. Deal?
Here are a few of my favourite go-to’s as of late from life to style:
